Basic Handler Courses for dog handlers

Place: at the location in the designated country or at KAN Holland training centre in the Netherlands.
Timeframe: minimum of two (2) weeks per group/shipment depending on experience of dog handlers.

The Basic Handler Course is predominantly practically oriented and additionally provides theoretical information. Depending on the type of working dogs, the course contains the following:

  • Managing the kennel area
  • Administration and logging
  • Managing all K9 Personal
  • Advanced search strategies of vehicles, buildings, luggage and areas
  • Advanced guard techniques
  • Safety protocol
  • Certification preparation

The Basic Handler Course is mandatory when purchasing dogs at our training center. After the Basic Handler Course, we will decide, of course in consultation with the client, if the teams are ready for certification or if they need more specialized training to receive their certification.
