The Basic Handler Course

Details:

In order for a dog to perform their best and be a valuable asset to a team, it is essential that the handler is properly trained in the appropriate methods of canine control. At Kan Holland, Our Basic handler program ensures that all of your handlers are well-versed in these techniques so that they can take advantage of the exceptional abilities of our highly-trained K9s. The Basic Handler Course is conducted at the designated country or at KAN Holland training centre in the Netherlands and normally takes a minimum of two weeks for each group/shipment, depending on the experience of the dog handlers. This program is primarily practical oriented and also provides theoretical knowledge. Depending on the type of working dogs.

Note:

Participation in the Basic Handler Course is obligatory for those buying dogs from our training centre. After completion of the course, we will, in consultation with the client, determine if the teams have achieved the required level of proficiency to be certified or whether they need more specialized training.

K9 Manager on Permanent Base to Supervise the Total K9 Project

Details:

We have an extremely experienced K9 Manager who will remain onsite for the duration of the entire K9 project. The course is to be carried out in the designated country, and the timeframe will depend on the organization of the project and the skill levels of the local handlers, with a minimum of twelve weeks.
